The Gift That Keeps Giving
Spiritual food with Jess – Mon August 31, 2026
What a beautiful thing it is to discern the heart in your chest,
but what a terrifying thing to feel the things you cannot express.
What a beautiful thing it is to feel your emotions this deep,
but what a terrifying thing for me not to tell them
apart from my own.
What a beautiful thing it is to feel your innermost architecture,
but what a terrifying thing for me to get lost in it.
What a beautiful thing it is for me to feel your love,
but what a terrifying thing to know it’s not mine to hold.
What a beautiful thing it is to feel your trust,
but what a terrifying thing to hold a loyalty that could bend history.
What a beautiful thing it is to understand your mind,
but what a terrifying thing to know how you filter the world.
What a beautiful thing it is to taste your comfort,
but what a terrifying thing to taste the iron ashes of your fear.
What a beautiful thing it is to hear your innermost voice,
but what a terrifying thing to hear the frustration you never let out.
What a beautiful thing it is to smell your innocence,
but what a terrifying thing to smell the rot of your arrogance.
What a beautiful thing it is to touch your hand,
but what a terrifying thing to lose my senses at such depth.
What a beautiful thing it is to discern you this deeply.
Oh, what a beautiful, terrifying thing.

1 Corinthians 14:25
“The secrets of his heart are disclosed…”
Romans 11:36
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.”
