A Seers Burden – My Burden🫶

Spiritual food with Jess – March 8, 2026

I felt your eyes on me

The look you gave cut right through me,

Sharp with jealousy.

It wasn’t my emotion,

Yet it struck me.

I felt your eyes land on me like a hand, pinned down by what I perceive.

I had never felt this before.

Why was it there

something I didn’t choose,

something I couldn’t name?

Slowly, I began to understand:

I was different.

When I look at people,

I feel the hidden coldness

in the chambers of their hearts,

the quiet places they do not speak aloud.

It took time to realize

what I was sensing was not sight alone.

When I enter a room

A town, a place, an atmosphere

I do not only see with my eyes.

I see and feel.

I taste what cannot be spoken.

I feel what breathes beneath the noise.

I see what hides beyond the veil.

I feel and I know.

And still I struggle to explain.

Some walk as if in deep sleep,

their eyes sealed,

their heads covered like the seers of old

(Isaiah 29:10 NIV)

“The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep:He has sealed your eyes (the prophets);

He has covered your heads (the seers).”

The prophets blinded.

The watchers unable to see.

Yet inside of me something is awake.

I feel the quick beat of your heart.

Lust.

Pain.

Depression.

Love.

Sadness.

Anxiety.

Shock.

Fear.

Tension.

I feel everything.

And I wonder:

Is this sight,

or is it burden?

Is this awakening,

while others sleep?

For it is written:

(Matthew 13:9 NIV)

“Whoever has ears, let them hear.

Whoever has eyes to see, let them see.”

I see hollow clay vessels,

the walking dead,

searching for a pulse that isn’t there.

But then a spark. A mirror.

I see you, because you see me too.

So I stand between worlds,

my perception of reality and Beyond the Veil entwined.

And still I ask:

Do you see what I see?

Do you feel what I feel?

Do you hear the silence beneath the noise,

the truths hidden behind the veils,

the hearts that stir but are unseen?

Open your eyes.

Lift the covering.

Wake up, sleeper!

I see you, with my eyes wide shut!

Do you see what I see?

Do you see what I see?
