‘The violent take it by force’

Spiritual food with Jess – September 6, 2024

That phrase reminds me we are called to bring heavenly authority into the physical realm. It’s using spiritual control and influence to claim what’s rightfully ours. It’s about tapping into that power and authority to make things happen in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 11:12 NIV

[12] From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of Heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.

It’s a revelation of hidden truths and divine insights, a key to spiritual empowerment, that comes from understanding the symbolic significance of the keys to the house of David. These keys unlock spiritual revelation, granting you the wisdom and authority to navigate the spiritual realm.

Matthew 11:12 talks about the kingdom of Heaven suffering violence and the violent taking it by force. This emphasizes the intense spiritual effort required to enter Heaven’s kingdom and the determination needed to pursue it. On the other hand, the keys of David symbolize authority, access to spiritual realms, and blessings. What an almighty force would there be to Carry the Keys to the house of David in the midst of a battle.

The kingdom of Heaven suffering violence signifies a profound spiritual battle, a journey of intense spiritual effort required to enter it. The phrase ‘the violent take it by force’ suggests that those who are fervent in prayer, resolute in seeking the kingdom of Heaven, and persistent in their spiritual journey will be able to enter it. It’s not about physical violence but rather about the strong desire, persistence, and spiritual favour needed to overcome obstacles to enter into the blessings and promises of the kingdom of Heaven. It’s a call for the Army of God to gird their swords on their sides and be spiritually aggressive in pursuing a relationship with God and His kingdom.
