The Architecture of Silence

Spiritual food with Jess – April 4, 2026

I feel you before you do.
Before your lips move, before your chest rises I feel the nervousness you carry,
I am there, inside your pulse, inside the tremor you try to hide.

I feel the corners of your sorrow,
the edges of your fear,
the quiet weight you carry.
I don’t just notice it
I live it with you.

When your heart aches, it aches in me.
When your laughter blooms, your joy fills me too.
Every sigh, every shiver, every longing you bury
I hold it. I cradle it. I know it

You don’t have to speak.
I am already inside your silence,
tracing the architecture of your soul.
It’s intimate.
It’s terrifying.
But I wouldn’t trade it.

To feel you this deeply is His love unmasked
naked, trembling, utterly true.
To glance in a room full of people is to feel every emotion flowing through me.

Sometimes, to break the weight of carrying it all,
I need to touch,
A hand to hold,
to lock into someone deliberately
to anchor myself,

to let their presence release the heaviness I carry,
to discern the peace within their heart,
to be pulled back from the storm inside me,
to return to reality.

At times to look into someone’s eyes
is to feel the deepest parts of their soul.
Sometimes I feel like I’m being tossed in an ocean,

and when I don’t meet your gaze,
it’s not about you.
It’s the storm inside me,
a struggle Im learning to balance,
I’m just trying to stay afloat

I need a hand to grasp,
I need an anchor
a physical snap back to reality moment
while God steadies me from within.

This is my profound way to say,
“I see everything in you, but I am still just a person who needs to be held too.”
Will you be my anchor?

This is a piece I’ve put together to share a little about who I am and who I am still learning to be.
I am only human myself, and I wanted to share these vulnerable parts of my soul with you.

It’s a little different; it’s about a calling I’m still navigating in uncharted waters!
I have this high calling to see into the deep, but I have the same heartbeat as you

I’ve realized that needing an anchor isn’t a sign of failure.
Just as Moses needed Aaron to provide the physical support to fulfill his purpose

I am learning that I need a hand to grasp while God steadies my spirit from within.
It’s the truest way I know how to say:

I see the depth in human life, but I am still just a person who needs to be held, too.

Perhaps you see this gift within yourself or someone you know?
Write in and share your journey with me!
